Assignment for Tuesday, Dec. 2: Review Session Preparation
NOTE: The comprehensive vocabulary list is now complete through the
end of the term. Homework Links for makeup work: I will email you this weekend if you are missing HW.
Comprehensive Vocabulary List in pdf Vocabulary since midterm in pdf. This is the list from which I will be taking your vocabulary words and most of the gender-number-case entries. Some Vocabulary Sets to practice with in pdf. In these sets, you will see verbs conjugated (i.e. in a specific form) with the meaning of that form (for example, dictum est matched to it was said). Nouns will also have specific forms and if they are genitive or dative, a genitive or dative meaning will be indicated (for example, virtutis matched with of courage). Obviously, do these vocab sets from memory; looking them up before you do this is a waste of time. It is better to commit to a wrong answer, then correct it, than it is to leave it hanging. In any case, the answers are here. Sentence Reviews Sentences Part I: Jussive
subjunctives (ch. 28) and Jussive noun clauses (ch. 36) Sentences Part II: Purpose and result clauses Sentences Part IV: Indirect question Sentences Part V: Datives, comparisons, time and place Sentences Part IV: Irregular verbs General Review (through result clauses) This is the Subjunctive Uses sheet I handed out earlier in the semster, online for the first time ... Practice Sentences (Mixed sentences) I will add some more for things like adverbs soon. If you have topics you would like some practice with, send in your request, and I iwll compose some sentences for it. Practice sentence answers So far only complete through about # 25; I will get the rest up Friday. |
