Latin Language Survey

This survey is to help me know where everyone is in his/her study of Latin, so I can facilitate your learning better – that means pitching the class at the correct level, and also providing more challenging materials and more effective review materials for those who need or want them.  NO ONE IS EXPCTED TO KNOW EVERYTHING or even most of it, and if you have never heard of (for example) the passive periphrastic, well, that is not surprising.  Also, YOU MAY KNOW THE ELEMENT but not know its grammatical name – if you are not sure, you can put a question mark beside it or make a note or ask me.  Also, DO NOT OVERSTATE your insecurities – even if the material from class so far has been a cold shower in the waters of linguistic complexity, remember where you DO feel confident and answer accordingly.

As we go through the semester, you can reassess your progress, and find places where you need to review (either on your own, or with help, or through requesting class time and exercises to get it down), and note where you have learned new material.
