Welcome to Latin 201,
Explorations in Latin Literature!
This course is a free-flowing and (as far as I can manage it)
individually tailored course that centers around a theme chosen by the
class (see the questionaire) and reviews/introduces new grammar as we
go. People come into this course at different levels, so my
expectations are centered on where you start, and we will review/ learn
new things as needed.
Home is right here. This page is your home base and you should visit it every day, especially because this is the only place to get the complete vocabulary list (review plus new vocabulary for each reading). Assignments is where you get your reading/translation assignments for each class, as well as your learning vocabulary lists and review exercises, plus homework assignments and due dates. You should visit it well before every class! Ususally I will map things out a few days ahead of time, but everything is subject to change depending on what happens in class. All homework exercises will only be added after the class before they are due, so be sure you check to get your assignment. If we end up working in smaller groups, I will send assignments by email and save the assignments page for flash cards, vocabulary work, links to helpful exercises and other online materials, and other helpful materials. |
Syllabus is the
goals and requirements for this class, including grade scale, textbooks,
contact information, etc. [Under Construction] Wheelock's Latin is the official web site for your grammar textbook; it offers supplementary materials and links to other helpful sites. Internet Resources contains links to various web sites that help with grammar, review, and practice, as well as sites that illuminate the subject matter and the authors we read. [UNDER CONSTRUCTION] UNCW links the university's web page. CS Minor is the web page (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) of the Classical Studies Minor at UNCW. |
