About Me

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, UNCW. I hold a Ph.D. in Computing and Information Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Before pursuing my Ph.D., I completed an M.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, alongside several years of experience in the civil aviation industry.

I’m an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I contribute to the Intelligent Systems Engineering program. My research centers on artificial intelligence and optimization, with a focus on time series forecasting, neuro-evolution, and metaheuristic methods applied to embedded and autonomous systems.

With a Ph.D. in Computing and Information Sciences and a background in aerospace engineering and computer science, I work across disciplinary boundaries to develop AI systems that are efficient, robust, and deployable. My work spans evolving neural architectures, predictive maintenance, and intelligent edge computing.

At its core, my research aims to bridge the gap between engineering and computing—designing intelligent systems that operate reliably in real-world environments, not just controlled conditions.
