Amy discovered her passion for international education while volunteering with N.C. State international students. She enjoyed the international student connection so much that she decided to pursue a career in international education. After completing master's degree in Organizational Communication at N.C. State, Amy spent a year teaching high school in Honduras and a one-year internship at UNC Charlotte's International Programs Office.
After arriving at UNCW, Amy began converting the paper based exchange student application to an electronic one. And she fully admits, most of her techie solutions are driven by her desire to expend less energy!
Kaitlin began working as the Incoming Exchange Coordinator for the International Programs Center at UNCG in July, 2010. She is also an alum of UNCG and received her Master of Science degree in Community Counseling and Education in 2009. Kaitlin studied aboard in Perth, Australia and since then has lived and traveled in Guatemala and Mexico. She enjoys working with the international exchange students and having the opportunity to learn more about different communities and cultures.
Kaitlin enjoys streamlining procedures and creating sustainable practices for all things incoming exchange! She utilizes student feedback, and the always reliable trial and error method, to make adjustments as needed.
