RESEARCH

Amrita’s research interest is primarily in the area of US Latino literature, focusing on women authors of Caribbean origin, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Some of her recent research is on Julia Alvarez, Achy Obejas and Judith Ortiz Cofer.
