Cognitive Control and Working Memory
We are using the distinction between cognitive control and automaticity to explain performance differences as a function of normal aging and working-memory capacity.
Memory Training
We are exploring various methods for identifying cognitive-control deficits and are developing computerized training tools to enhance cognitive functioning in affected populations.
Metacognition
We are using the Remember-Know procedure to examine the cognitive processes underlying metacognitive monitoring (e.g., Judgments of Learning) and how they change with age.
