About Celeste V. Brown
I was born in Boston, Mass. and grew up in Nashville, Tenn. and Ann Arbor, Michigan. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Political Science/Public Adminstration, I attended and graduated from Navy Officer Candidate School, and was commisioned an officer in the United States Navy.
During my time in the military I met and married a wonderful man, my best friend, James Brown. We have two adult children, Sarah and Geoffrey. Sarah is a budding artist/muscian/actor and Geoffrey is "finding himself".
I enjoy deep sea fishing and camping with family, swimming, reading, writing poetry, painting, quilting and sewing. I play guitar and enjoy all kinds of music. In recent years I have come to love photography.
Some years ago my husband bought me a Kodak camera for Christmas and that little digital lightbox creature made its way into my heart. Two years later I bought him a Nikon for Christmas and - I'm not sure how this happened - his Nikon replaced my Kodak. Since then I have spent so many of my waking hours thinking about photos, taking photos, enjoying the photos of others, etc. I look at natural light differently now. I see more of the colors and hues, the shadows, the gradations. I see art in places I would have never thought to look before.
I especially see art in the faces of children. I love their eyes, their "wide-eyed innocence," the beauty of tomorrow, potential and wonder. When I photograph children, I love how they give you their unabashed selves - no pretense, no posing, no other agenda except "look at me. or don't. Either is fine." I enjoy capturing those sweet moments of play and reflection, of delight, joy, and love. I find true happiness there.

- I will visit you on site, take of pictures of your subject (child, family, dog, cat, pets, etc.) in a comfortable and natural setting
- A CD of your photos is then made available for your preview.
- We then decide on which photos you want printed (size, number, etc.) A week after final payment is received, your prints will be delivered!

Honey Child Photography uses Nikon digital equipment and photography from the session can be available for preview quickly. Often, your portraits will ready for preview the very next day!
