Learning Kanji
You see many kanji in the sample sentences. You do not have to use kanji for all the words as you see in the sample unless you know how to write it. As you know it is very imporatant to know the stroke order in writing kanji so if you do not know or cannot guess the stroke order, it is better off to write in hiragana at this point.
Click here to get the Kanji list. Start working on being able to write them. Refer to the required Kanji reference book (required course material) for stroke orders and how to remember them.
You will have a kanji quiz in the second week (Refer to the course calendar). Be able to write kanji from hiragana. E.g. わたし → 私
Please write in Kanji as many kanji as you can handle. If you will type most of the words in Hiragana and Katakana, please make sure you put spaces between each word for easy reading.Otherwise, it would be very difficult for a native Japanese (me) to read it.
The hiragana above each kanji is called “Kana” for you to read the Kanji.
