Reading: p. 34.  Also, read (in English!) the notes on Cicero on pp. 34-38; it helps with the reading and the chapters that follow.  One thing scholars of language acquisition say is that knowledge of what to expect helps you guess right/ read more easily -- so this background information will help later.
