Xuemei Chen
Associate Professor · Mathematics & Statistics · UNCW
I obtained my Ph.D in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
My research focuses on applied harmonic analysis and mathematical aspects of signal processing, image processing, data science, and machine learning.
A lot of my research is on sparse data recovery, frame theory, and fast linear solvers for high dimensional data.
I like to work on the full cycle of a problem: theoretical development and guarantee, efficient numerical algorithms,
and implementations to real world problems.
