2. Completed homework
3. Vocabulary list
4. Four Chapter Tests
5. Final Exam
If you have any problems or questions, feel free to contact me during office
hours.
1. Grading: Four chapter tests 100 pts. each, homework and vocabulary quizzes
100
pts, Class Grade 300 (includes Attendance, and Participation), Final Exam 200
pts
(= Chapter Tests 40%, Final Exam 20%, Class Grade 30%, Homework 10%)
2. Tests and quizzes: Absolutely no makeup tests or quizzes will be given. I
will drop
the lowest test and quiz grade at the end of the semester, so if you miss a
test, the "F"
will be dropped.
3. Attendance Policy: You are allowed 3 absences during the semester, whatever
the
reason. Additional absences will have a negative effect on your grade.
4. Homework: Homework is graded on completion, not number of mistakes. Homework
is individual work and subject to the UNCW code of academic honesty.
Foreign Language Resource Center: You are expected to attend at least one hour a week in the language resource center located in Leutze Hall 253. Our lab "tapes" are virtual. The lessons are stored on each computer as MP3 files. They have CD burners and you can copy them for use at home or have the lab assistants copy them. For that purpose you must bring in a CD-R. For use of the computers in the lab, you will need to bring your own headphones, which may be purchased in the UNCW Bookstore.
Date of Final Exam: Tuesday December 11th, 8:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
Honor Code: Students enrolled in this course must respect and abide by the Academic Honor Code of UNCW. This may be found in the Undergraduate Catalogue 2007/2008 on page 84.
