Workshops

Approximately 25 workshops and "Soul Breakfasts" - a more intimate setting to talk with featured speakers - will be held in the mornings and afternoons, led by pastors and lay leaders from excellent churches and parishes across the nation. Most workshops will offer the unique opportunity to hear the faith stories of both Protestant and Catholic churches on topics ranging from reaching Generation X to building life-changing small groups to training and discipling lay people for ministry. Worship

Summit participants are invited to experience a range of worship experiences led by outstanding New Orleans churches.

Speakers

The Pastoral Summit will feature two of America's most beloved pastors - one Protestant and one Catholic.

Martin E. Marty, a renowned theologian, social scientist, teacher, writer, and by his own description, first and foremost a pastor, will bring his insights into the role of local churches in the transforming people - and the world.

Best-selling author, astute social scientist, and teacher, Father Andrew Greeley is, at his heart, a parish priest. He will share his views on what Catholic churches should and should not be about these days.
