Jefferson Howard Sutton (b. 1913) studied at San Diego State College (now University of California - San Diego), served in the United States Marine Corps, and has been a photographer and newsman. Another part of his career was devoted to research into survival at high altitudes.

Arthur Wilson Tucker (b. 1914) was a noted fan in the 1930's and produced his own amateur magazines (fanzines) and contribute articles and letters to both professional and fan publications. His short story writing career started in the early 1940's. "The Lincoln Hunters" is probably his most recognized story.
