ACE POTPOURRI

LITERATURE - OF A SORT

ACE SINGLE format T-SERIES

Although it is thought that there is NO T-series, I appear to have some volumes that contradict this statement (see Wikipedia for such a statement). Do any of the ACE IMAGE LIBRARY users have any information on the publication history of this series? Let me know. Thank you.

T-135 ANONYMOUS More Cracked (cover by John Severin; 1961; 1st ACE printing and PBO; ACE Star edition)

T-136 ANONYMOUS Completely Cracked (cover by John Severin; 1962; 1st ACE printing and PBO; ACE Star edition)

T-136 (back cover)

Note: the editor is s'posedly RICHARD C. SPROUL but not listed on the front cover nor the title page.

John Severin was an artist for EC comics in the early 1950s, mainly for their war titles such as "Two-Fisted Tales." He was also one of the five original MAD artists (along with Harvey Kurtzman, Will Elder, Wally Wood, and Jack Davis), contributing art to nine of the first ten issues, and later became the main artist for the MAD imitation magazine, the much maligned "Cracked."  More on this artist can be found at the URL:  http://drewfriedman.blogspot.com/2012/02/john-severins-cracked-paperback-covers.html

The other "Cracked" ACE Book editions are K-111 and M-146.
