(01 October 2011) In response to my query, Susannah Clark (http://romancecovers.blogspot.com/) found a source, The Harvard Book, Selections From Three Centuries edited by Willima Bentinck-Smith (Cambridge: Harvard University Press, c.1953, 1982 edition), p. xvi. For those interested (that includes me) the point behind this volume was an anthology that compiled works done by "Harvard men (students or alumni) and Harvard teachers, writing about Harvard subjects - an essence of "Harvard literature" (p. v. 1953 edition). I wonder how Dr. Bentinck-Smith would react to the co-authorship of Nancy Harmon (not a Harvard grad) and William S. Bayer II (A.B. 1960) in Love With A Harvard Accent?
