87052 SUSAN HOWATCH The Waiting Sands (c.1967; nd; ACE Gothic Novel)

Oh fun - two titles with the same five-digit number. In addition, the second copy has what appears to be a relabel. However, I think this is actually the earlier publication for this series. Nevertheless, The Waiting Sands was originally published as ACE K-240 (1967).

More obscure information on The Waiting Sands. The second title (which I thought was the earlier publication) has cover art by Jerome Podwil (20" x 28"; oil/acrylic on board). But the back of the art has a notation for an ACE 87051 (which I have not found a copy of yet; as well as a different title: With Murder in Mind and a date of "Oct. 71"). If any AIL user has another copy of 87052 or a copy of 87051, please let me know so I can straighten this issue out.
