Another of the TV (ABC - Screen Gems) spin off novels. William Johnston is not given front page identification. The second volume is ACE 95051 (1970).

A very good reference (well-indexed and written) on TV Tie-In volumes such as The Flying Nun is by Kurt Peers (1999, 2nd edition) TV Tie-Ins: A bibliography of American TV tie-in paperbacks. TV Books, NY, 364 pp.

Please note that the title for this volume (with its location in the 32000 series of the ACE letter-number scheme) is this format. When you examine the ACE 95051 volume, you will observe that it is in the reverse format (argh). I wish ACE Books would have followed their own numbering rules.

32815-6 ROBERT E. HOWARD Heroes of Bear Creek (1983; 1st thus)

Although Robert E. Howard is better known for the Conan adventures, it appears he had his hand in the western genre. This volume is listed as "First Time in One Volume!" I am going to put this title also in the Western Singles section until I get some control on this story.

34543-3 anonymous 1979: The Total Horoscope: Pisces (1978; 1st thus; astrology)

As you can see, these volumes are either seriously out of sequence, or there is some title notation that escapes me (or at least escaped ACE Books when assigning this to a Letter-Number series). If any AIL user has insight on this, please let me know.

I Am Gabriella! was also released as Gabreilla. In addition, this story was originally published as ACE K-257 (1966). Note that ACE 35831 uses the same cover art as ACE K-257 and that the number-letter series and price are in a white-based block. This appears to be further evidence for relabelling of unsold stock. 37421 JOSEPH SILVA (aka RON GOULART) The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977; 1st thus; movie tie-in volume with photo covers and photo inserts)

Film novelization based upon the work of H. G. Wells. This edition is the screen play for the motion picture from American International Pictures. This is the second movie version of the H. G. Wells science fiction novel. Stars Burt Lancaster, Michael York, Barbara Carrera, and Richard Basehart and filmed in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Lancaster perfectly matches Wells' description of Moreau's physical appearance, unlike the other two actors to play the role on screen, Charles Laughton in Island of Lost Souls (1933) and Marlon Brando in The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996).

Sixteen pages of black and white photos from the movie.
