70301 RALPH MILNE FARLEY The Radio Beasts (c.1925; 1964; nd)

ACE Books originally published The Radio Beast as ACE F-304 (1964). This is actually the sequel to The Radio Planet.

70320 RALPH MILNE FARLEY The Radio Planet (c.1926; 1964; July 1976; 2nd ACE printing )

Originally published in 1926 as a serial in Argosy All-Story Weekly. This is a "Science Fiction From the Great Years" volume.

ACE Books originally published The Radio Planet as ACE F-312 (1964).

These are both "Science Fiction from the Great Years" editions.

70575-8 RICHARD D. KIRK (house psuedonym for ANGUS WELLS) Raven 5: A Time of Dying (1988; 1st ACE printing; ACE fantasy)

In keeping with the ACE letter-number system, this series of fantasy stories start with Raven.

70628-7 ROBERT ASPRIN (ed.) Shadows of Sanctuary (nd; ACE fantasy)

Yes, this is also out of sequence for the ACE number-letter series unless there is some subtitle.

70801-3 TIM LUKEMAN Rajan (1982; 1st ACE printing; ACE fantasy)

71065 ROBERT CHAM GILMAN (aka ALFRED COPPEL) The Rebel of Rhada (cover by Richard Loehle, frontispiece by Jack Gaughan; 1968)

First of a young-adult trilogy; the later two volumes did not appear in paperback for decades. The hardcover edition of this story was published in 1968 prior to the paperback release.

71083-2 E. C. TUBB Lallia: Dumarest Of Terra #6 (1982)

Notice that according to the ACE numbering scheme, this title is completely out of place. Lallia was originally published as ACE Double 71082 with Nunes and Nunes Recoil (which is why it was in the 71000 series). But it appears by the time of this release even the ACE people has begun to lose track of why (and how) their complicated numbering scheme worked. I wish to thank a helpful AIL user for pointing out this oddness.

71085 ROBERT SILVERBERG Recalled To Life (cover by Don Punchatz; February 1977; listed as "First Paperback Publication")

71100 ANDRE NORTON Red Hart Magic (interior illustrations by Donna Diamond; 1979; 1st ACE printing)

71135 PHILIP JOSE FARMER Behind the Walls of Terra (1970; 1st ACE printing)

This is another ACE where the numbering scheme and the title do not correspond. There is an ACE 05360 to ACE 05363 group of titles for Behind the Walls of Terra also having a 1970 publication date.

71140 ROBERT A. HEINLEIN Red Planet (cover by Steele Savage and frontspiece illustration by Clifford Geary; c.1949; nd)

RED SONJA is based on the character created by ROBERT E. HOWARD. This volume includes an Introduction : The Creation of Red Sonja by Roy Thomas. Note that the copyright for all of these Smith and Tierney volumes is attributed to Glenn Lord. In addition, there are a number of reprints (but the number system often does not handle it very well).

71157-X  DAVID C. SMITH and RICHARD L. TIERNEY Red Sonja #2: Demon Night (cover by Boris Vallejo; March 1982; 1st ACE printing)

71158  DAVID C. SMITH and RICHARD L. TIERNEY Red Sonja #3: When Hell Laughs (cover by Boris Vallejo; June 1982; 1st ACE printing)

The cover art was by Leo and Diane Dillion and this edition reuses part of it. It also lists the Nebula Award (1968) recognition on the cover. Thus, it is probably the 2nd printing.
