Laboratory and Field Equipment

Sontek Micro ADV:

The ADV can be used in real time mode in the lab or can be deployed independently at a field site. It is capable of 3-D velocity measurments at rates up to 50 Hz. The sample volume is approximately 1 cm3
Manufactured by Sontek .

Nortek Vector ADV:

The ADV can be used in real time mode in the lab or can be deployed independently at a field site. It is capable of 3-D velocity measurments at rates up to 64 Hz.
Manufactured by Nortek .

Nortek Aquadopp Acoustic Doppler Profiler:

This instrument measures currents throughout the water column in a series of "bins" that can be as small as 0.1 m. The profiler can be mounted on the seafloor or at the sea surface depending on the application.
Manufactured by Nortek .

PME Micro-conductivity/Temperature Meter:

Conductivity is measured at the tip of this glass needle probe. The sensor, which is 500 microns in width, consists of four platinum electrodes.
Manufactured by PME

LiCor Quantum/Radiometer/Photometer:

This system is used to measure photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). An underwater housing is availble for use in wet and submerged environments.
Manufactured by LiCor

Campbell CR10X Data Loggers :

CR10X Dataloggers are very versatile, and can be used to collect and store many types of data, including outputs from thermistor bead flow sensors, the Micro-conductivity/Temperature Meter, or any instrument capable of analog output. Waterproof housings allow deployment in submerged environments.
