Inserting Midi Files Into PowerPoint.
Find the midi file you want to include in your PowerPoint activity. You can use any of the search engines to find good pages that have midi files for download. Once you locate your file there will typically be an icon or descriptive words that you click on to make the file play. Right click on this and select Save Target As….. This will allow you to download the file to your computer. If you are saving your PowerPoint presentation to a disk, be sure to save your files to the same disk.
Start PowerPoint; find the slide you want to insert the sound on. Select the Insert Menu, then Movies and Sound, and then Sound from File. You may have to navigate to the location you saved your file at.
I have listed some midi sites you may want to consider. You can also search the web and find many others. For the rockers in the class, check out the last URL. You can copy and paste the URLs into your browser's address bar.
