Learn More about Airlie Gardens
The formal gardens at Airlie Gardens were founded more than 100 years ago by one of the Cape Fear coast's legendary couples, Sarah and Pembroke Jones. Later, the Corbetts, another well-known local family, purchased the gardens, frequently opening them to the public. New Hanover County purchased Airlie Gardens in 1999, preserving one of the last undeveloped sections of land along Bradley Creek for public use.
