1) Trace the interrelationship of temple, palace, and military in Sumer (NOT Akkad) during the Early Dynastic period. How and why did the roles of all of these change?

2) Why do you think the Proto-Elamite expansion lasted 150 years? How did it effect Mesopotamia during the Jemdet Nasr period? Do you think the Early Dynastic period is in spite of or because of the Proto-Elamite expansion? Why?
