Cape Fear Foreign Language Collaborative

The Cape Fear Foreign Language Collaborative is an academic alliance of foreign language professionals working at all levels of the educational system (public and private institutions, kindergarten through college) in the southeastern North Carolina counties of Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, Duplin, Jones,  New Hanover, Onslow,  Pender and Sampson.  Members or visitors from other nearby counties are welcome.  The group meets on Saturday mornings twice a semester (or four times during the academic year) on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  The meetings give members an opportunity to discuss issues that affect the foreign language teaching profession, to share ideas for implementation in the classroom, to sponsor, promote and support foreign language study and intercultural activities,  and to establish relationships that facilitate communication among the various educational units within the geographical area.

The Collaborative currently provides four scholarships to area students: two for students at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington  and two for college-bound seniors in high school.
