November meeting: Many thanks to John Stevens for his very interesting presentation, and to all who participated in the teaching swap.
January meeting: We have three presentations this month: Susan Crampton will speak on "French Literature and Art in the 19th Century"; Norma García will present "Inside Honduras"; and Melissa Galler will present her “Inquiry project on Pronunciation and Vocabulary Acquisition.” 

Scholarships: UNCW Scholarship recipients will be introduced at the meeting.  Application forms will be distributed for high school scholarships.

Cinematique : The film “Frida”, depicting the life of artist Frida Kahlo, will be playing January 27-29. “Talk to Her”, by Pedro Almodóvar, will be playing February 24-26. Habana Sax at Thalian Hall.  Musical performance by Cuban group Habana Sax, Thusday, March 6, 8:00 p.m.

Intercultural Week will be February 10-15, 2003. A Global Summit on the theme of “Superpower and Responsibility” is planned for Feb. 11, featuring four distinguished international speakers.  The CFFLC will sponsor a booth at the Festival on Saturday, the 15th.  Details at the January meeting.  Volunteers needed.  (Contact: Christi Lea.)
