Abstract:

As the practice of mediation has grown, it is now used for disputes which are not associated with traditional mediation practices. Each presenter will discuss their unique type of mediation as well as a review of the literature on their area of mediation. Topics to be covered include mediating gang disputes, department of social services (DSS) mediations, victim/offender mediation, faith-based mediation, and disputes between employees at a large state institution of higher learning.
