The use of AFLP to determine population structure of Black Seabass
Dr. McCartney and I, in collaboration with NOAA fisheries, are in the process of developing AFLP fingerprints for different Black Seabass stocks along the East Coast of North America. Once developed, these fingerprints will give insight into the population structure of the species and determine if 'drifters' move between populations. This study will ultimately provide a framework in which a management plan can be developed.
