＊ 二人兄弟 vs.　兄弟が二人います。 二人兄弟 means “the speaker and another sibling.” 兄弟が二人います means “the speaker has two siblings (excluding him/herself) so it is actually三人兄弟 in Japanese. 姉妹 is used in the same way when all the siblings are female.

＊＊ Some Japanese try not to use this word for wife since it means “person inside of the house.” Many Japanese women nowadays pursue their career; thus, they do not stay home to be a home maker.
