Modules: Reading in the Content Area CULMINATING ASSESSMENT Description: This Culminating Assessment will take the form of a Lesson Plan. Below, you will be given two objects. Using the aspects and or characteristics of these objects, you will create a plan for a reading-based lesson in your subject area. This reading lesson will use these objects as either an introductory physical stimulus to demonstrate a key concept OR it will be central to the concept taught during the lesson. Either way, you MUST use these objects in your lesson. Also, it is expected that you will use 2-3 techniques from your text in the lesson plan (ie CLOZE, KWL, etc.)The reading Lesson Plan will include these standard elements: Objectives (must be behavorial and must have 3), Introduction (aka Set), Teacher Demonstration, Guided Student Practice, Independent Student Practice, Assessment, and Closure (Summary).
