- How did Zeus consolidate his reign over the universe?
- How were humans created? How does this compare with other creation stories you know of (from myth or even science)?
- Hesiod's myth of the five ages of humans has often been seen as a pessimistic view of the human condition. Do you agree? How would you describe Hesiod's view of human life? Do we have a similar outlook today? Do we have similar stories?
- How did Prometheus help humans? How did he make human life more complex? What does the Prometheus story have to say about the relationships between gods and humans?
