· Translation: A connected passage divided up into sentences. For this, you will have a brief introduction to situate you, and usually some extra vocabulary words defined; give me as much as you can of everything, even if you are not sure, and when you are confident, be as precise as you can about singulars, plurals and tenses.
NOTE: The vocabulary, gender-number-case, and verb ID sections will be taken from the reading passage. In other words, any effort you put into reading to figure out meanings or cases etc., will pay off when you do the translation and vice versa. You may want to consult the extra vocabulary words given before the translation to help you with meanings in the earlier sections of the test.
