Dentition

  1. How many total possible teeth comprise the secondary (adult) dentition?

  2. How many total possible teeth comprise the primary (subadult) dentition?

  3. When not present in the jaws, how can you tell the difference between a third molar and a first or second molar?

  4. If If you find a premolar, would it most likely be from an adult or subadult?  How would you know?

  5. Why are teeth important forensically?

  6. Where is the second premolar in relation to the canine of that same “quadrant”?

  7. Where is the central incisor in relation to the lateral incisor of that same “quadrant”?
