V.  General

There are 206 bones in the a fully mature human skeleton.

There are 806 centers of ossification where bones or parts of bones develop then later fuse to create the 206 bones.

About half of the 206 bones are found just in the hands and feet.  Wow.

There are also many bones in the skull which fuse to give the appearance of just the cranium and mandible.
