The following HOW TOs will help with the implementation of your Spreadsheet project.

I want to turn my document to Landscape Orientation.
File, Page Setup, Page tab, select Landscape

I want my project to print with Gridlines showing.
File, Page Setup, Sheet tab, under Print check the box next to Gridlines

I want to use a Header.
View menu, Header and Footer, use the Custom Header button to create your header

I want to Sort a column of data.
Select the column by clicking the columns corresponding letter at the top, use the sort button on the Formatting toolbar

Hint: When sorting data in a spreadsheet, be sure to expand your selection if necessary so as not to jumble your data. You could sort the column, but leave other associated data such as the names that go with the grades you sorted, unsorted.

I want to easily Add Numbers.
Use the AutoSum button on the Formatting toolbar after you have clicked in cell that follows the numbers you want to add.

I want to easily Average my numbers.
Click in the cell following the numbers you want to add and use the Paste Function button found on the Formatting toolbar. You may have to adjust the range of cells that appear in the function.

Hint: the cell range is made up of all the cells you want to work on and is usually written in this format: (A3:A12). This range would include all the cells from A3 to A12. This range C10:C50 would include all the cells from C10 to C50.

Hint: to easily enter formulas that repeat from cell to cell, you can employ the Fill technique. Simply select the cell that has the formula or function you want to copy, such as the average of a column. Once the cell is selected, you will notice a small black square in the lower right corner of the cell. Click on the box, and without letting go of the left mouse button, drag the function to any other cells you want it to appear in. Using Fill, the new functions will automatically update to reflect their new row numbers or column letters.

I want my Chart to easily have labels and other identify information.
When selecting you data, be sure to select your cells that have data labels. Excel will use these labels on your chart to identify your data. If your chart legend says Series 1, Series 2, and so on, you did not select any data labels when you were selecting data.
