I may choose to use the brochure creation activity as a classroom experience, and thus suggest/recommend changes to your brochure that are not listed here.

You can should create your brochure in Microsoft Publisher. .

The following guidelines pertain to creating your own layout in Publisher. If you use a template in MS Publisher, please follow the layout provided to you. However, please address your content to your audience, be it students, parents, or other teachers. Identify who you are and have an introduction. It would be good to include Web resources (URLS) for those seeking additional information. Be mindful not to simply cut and paste information into your brochure.

A class discussion will support this activity.

General guidelines for creating your own brochure layout.

1. Minimum 2 column layout in landscape orientation. Print front and back, fold and you have a nice brochure "look".
2. At least three different fonts
3. Three different point sizes
4. Demonstrate at least two examples of paragraph or text alignment
5. Minimum 2 examples of clip art
6. Your name in the header
7. Introduction
8. Useful and relevant information targeted to your audience.
9. Use of a text box to bring attention to an item of interest.
