These nine churches are featured in the recently published book Excellent Protestant Congregations: A Guide to Best Places and Practices by Paul Wilkes, published by John Knox/Westminster Press. Clergy and lay people from these churches will lead workshops at the Pastoral Summit, May 30-June 1, 2001.

The book also contains an index of 300 additional excellent American churches, which will be available on this website this summer.
