THE PASTORAL SUMMIT The Pastoral Summit is the first-ever gathering of both Protestant and Catholic clergy and lay leaders focusing exclusively on the local church. It is an opportunity for those in search of pastoral excellence to pray, learn, talk and worship together for three days. Through workshops, worship, small group encounters, theological enrichment, and community - all infused with a spirit of cooperation and prayer - those who attend the Pastoral Summit will witness an outpouring of what is going on within the best local churches in America. Leaders from some of the best churches and parishes in American, models of excellence in the local church, will lead workshops and discussions on various aspects of church and pastoral life. The Pastoral Summit will take place in New Orleans, May 30-June 1, 2001 and is designed for 1,000 participants. Attending the Pastoral Summit implies that participants want to make their local churches as good and as spiritual and useful as they possibly can be.
