• My area of interests include: Machine Learning, Semiparametric Models, Survival Analysis, Statistical Data Mining, and Applications.

• IDEAL provides a platform for faculty and students to conduct interdisciplinary research in the areas of biology, chemistry computer science, education, excercise science, psychology, etc. There are weekly meetings for students and faculty to present their research since fall 2014. Interested person may contact Dr. Chen or me for more information.
•Actuaries analyze the financial consequences of risk, with mathematical, statistical, and financial theory to study uncertain future events, such as insurance, pension, etc.
• UNCW offers a certificate program in Actuarial Science, a joint effort between the CAS and School of Business.
