INDONESIA'S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
JULY 5, 2004
During summer 2004, I visited Indonesia to experience the first round of the country's first-ever direct presidential elections. Along with official monitors from Jakarta's Habibie Center, where I was a visiting fellow, I monitored the election in Depok, West Java on July 5, 2004.
