Other Professional Experience
I have taught a number of workshops through the Science and Mathematics Education Center.  Most of these were for elementary and middle-school teachers and were to further those teacher’s understanding of mathematics topics taught at those grade levels.  I have also taught workshops through UNCW’s Division for Public Service and Extended Education.  Some of the classes were for high school students who were preparing to take the SAT test and others were for female middle-school students to increase their interest and understanding of mathematics.

MOST RECENT EXPERIENCE 
In 2007 I was a reviewer for the Eighth Edition of Mathematics for Elementary Teachers, by Musser, Burger and Peterson, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

I participated in the Preparing Mathematicians to Educate Teachers (PMET) Workshop June 2005 at NCA&T.  Sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America this workshop was on teaching mathematics for middle grades teachers. 
I participated in Preparing Mathematicians to Educate Teachers (PMET) Workshops August 2003, June 2004 and July 2006 at Appalachian State University.  Sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America these workshops were on teaching mathematics for elementary and middle school teachers.
