Socialization takes place in larger social groups--race,
class and gender. Our membership in these groups affects our opportunities
both in society and in education.
K-12 students
are much more
diverse than are public school teachers.

3. How do our own restricted or limited backgrounds
affect our ability to interact with people of different backgrounds?
