URL for Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

- a wonderful source as well as the publisher of the journal Gems & Gemology (which can be accessed from this site)

Useful reference URL (University of Texas) - for information on common gemstone

- remember to reference your sources. This information is not yours and it needs to be cited when used in laboratories or papers. Citation format is indicated in the Project 02 outline and requirements section.

- there are numerous other URL/NET sites that have gem and gemstone information. However, caveat emptor! However, the following site is pretty good and has several "on-line" "courses" in gemology that will aid you in developing your project.
