Welcome

 

It is my pleasure to welcome you to csc450 – Software Engineering for the Spring Semester. In this course we will study object-oriented methods for the design and production of large software systems emphasizing analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The course includes the development of a substantial software project by teams of software developers.

 

The course meets MWF 9:00 – 9:50am in CI 1012. My office hours are MWF 10am – 11am or by appointment. My office is located in CI2046. The following table contains a schedule of the major milestones and deliverables for the course.

1.      Please print a copy of your First Day Handout.

2.      In addition to some general questions, the first test will be based primarily on the review quizzes and homework-3, so use those as study guides. Also be sure to review chapters 2 and 27 from Pressman.

Software engineering is all about using models and well defined processes to enhance the development and evolution of complex software systems. Software engineering is a discipline of the future and modeling is key!
