Brad Tayloe - Technician
I grew up in Roanoke Virginia, where I obtained my Associate of Science degree from Virginia Western Community College. I moved to Wilmington during my sophmore year and graduated with my BS in marine biology in 2004. I have recently initiated an independent research project studying age, growth, and feeding habits of spotted seatrout in the Cape Fear River using hook-and-line gear. I hope to provide some important biological information on this species for future management plans. I am also in the process of obtaining my teaching license in secondary education from the Watson School of Education here at UNCW. I recieved my captains license last year, which I plan to use to run my own spotted seatrout and red drum guide service. My hobbies include fishing, hunting, boating, and playing guitar.
Brad recently completed the requirements for his teaching certification at UNCW and began teaching 6th grade full-time at Myrtle Grove Middle School in August 2007. He still works with us from time to time as his job permits and we're always glad to have him on board.
