Served as adult community member to assist in assessing students Digital Literacy Portfolios. This served as a freshmen project where students are asked to assimilate evidence from their coursework into a digital portfolio. Volunteered to read the portfolios and meet with the students for a brief question and answer session on their work

21st Century Learning: Information, Media, and Technology Skills
University of North Carolina Wilmington
Presented to 120+ teachers across Southeast North Carolina on ways to
incorporate 21st century learning outcomes in their classes. The workshop
focused on various ways teachers can use digital games, simulations, virtual
worlds, data visualization tools, and social networks to foster creativity,
critical thinking, and problem-solving within their classrooms.
Infusing Globally Responsive Learning Techniques in Classrooms
University of North Carolina Wilmington
Presented to 75+ teachers, administrators, curriculum directors, and technology leaders across Southeast North Carolina on tools and techniques to better engage students. Through this hands-on, full-day seminar, attendees learned technologies, discussed integration ideas, and engaged in using Web 2.0 tools to foster global connections and to better engage their students.
Trials and Tribulations of a Doctoral Candidate: Practical Advice for a Dissertation Research Project
