Science is a Cyclic Process
Often, experimental observations spawn an idea or hypothesis that attempts to provide a general explanation for what was observed.
To be useful, the hypothesis should make testable predictions that suggest further experiments.
New experiments are performed to test these predictions. This results in a new set of observations to be explained.
Doing Science
Throughout the history of science, remarkable scholars and researchers have emerged whose work has had a profound impact on the science of their time. The two individuals pictured below, Linus Pauling and Richard Feynman, certainly belong in that category.
