Please write down what you would do in the following hypothetical circumstances:
1) You are a 12-year-old male blood grandson of Augustus. How do you stay alive, ascend to the throne, and stay sane? Under what circumstances would you fail? Under what circumstances would you succeed?
2) You are a Senator during the period when Septimius Severus is raising the army’s pay and marginizing the Senate. How do you survive and prevent inflation from occurring? Under what circumstances would you fail? Succeed?
3) You are an army general during the 3rd Century Crisis, faced with the choice to rebel and take the empire or not. Which do you choose? Why?
