UNCW is committed to pursuing a Major in Health Education within the Dept. of HAHS. With the hiring of new tenure-track faculty, the Dept. has jumped from offering 9 courses to 21! My professional interests lie in training future health educators the bread and butter of the field - design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that span across all settings in which health education is practiced. I believe this allows graduates a stronger place in the job market and graduate school. The courses I teach or have taught are:
