    From 1992 to1997 I served as the Associate Director of the Good Health Makes $ense program, a comprehensive worksite health promotion and disease prevention initiative for employee's, spouses, and retiree's of Aabama and Gulf Power Companies.  With over 160 sites in two states, the program utilized a multitude of stage-driven design, planning, and evaluation strategies to provide for the needs of over 10,000+ participants. Now entering it's secong decade, GHM$ has been recognized as one of the most salient and successful programs in an era of cutbacks, reorganization, and vender outsourcing.  Below are a few of the GHM$ programs awards:
    • Received Governor’s Award for Health Promotion Programs 1994-95
    • Received Wellness Council’s of America Gold Award 1994
    • Received National Health and Human Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Community Health Promotion 1995


    MEDIA:
     

    • "Good Health Makes $ense Show with Dr. Mike Perko" (1994-97)

    • Position: Producer/Host - Quarterly live health promotion and disease prevention
      broadcast and live monthly broadcast titled "GHM$ Monthly: It's Your Health!"
      to 120 downlink sites in a two state area. Duties included managing full and part-time staff in all pre, production, and post production including conceptual design, hiring talent, writing scripts, arranging location shoots, and editing. 35 live broadcasts produced.  ($80, 000 per annum)
