Here are spec sheets from Kodak for Super-8 Kodachrome 40 (7268) and 16mm Vision2 100T (7212) films that we may use during the semester. They cover important aspects of the film such as exposure, use of filters, and characteristic curves.
HDRShop can be downloaded and run on a Windows machine. Load the example "Red Cross & Fourth" image to view how exposure will vary at different stops by pressing + and -. (This program is normally used to construct high-dynamic-range images to match lighting on cg effects shots that will be composited with original film plates. For an example, see the image on my 220 page or this .mov file. Notice the reflection in the silver ball. It should look familiar because that image was "lit" with the "Red Cross & Fourth" image.)
